Ugh I haven’t posed in such a long time and it’s really starting to bug me because I keep forgetting too post and update this site, but I PROMISE that I will start to post more often as of now!
If you know me in real life then you know I have wanted to get a job for a long time now and well I finally have one!! I have been working at this “place” for about a month now and I’m really liking working there.
I would also like to announce that I have my very first short story being released so soon! It’s going to be a mystery short story that will be available for FREE on Kobo and Amazon Kindle stores. It should be on those stores before next Thursday and once they are available I will write another post with all the links and stuff. When I say its a short story I mean really short but I’m still really excited and hopefully I can write more short stories in this series. More details to come!
Anyways that’s my little update for now! My next post will be about my book so, talk then bye!
A year and a half after Descendants comes Descendants 2! I actually thought that this movie was better then the first one. Throughout the whole movie I was intrigued to find out what was going to happen and the music was actually pretty good. I think this is probably one of the best Disney Channel Original Movies in a long time! Great movie and would for sure recommend.
I know this was a short review but more blog posts coming soon!
In this day and age everyone is using music streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music but in this post I’m going to be letting people know of great legal music streaming sites that less people know about but really should use.
1. Slacker Radio
This music site launched in 2007 and is available in the United States and Canada. This site is very similar too Spotify and such but the main difference is all the stations are made by real people and have radio hosts. Personally this is one of my favorites and I have been using it for years and will most likely get a premium membership sometime soon.
This app and website actually launched quite a long time ago as well and is pretty similar to the now shut down service Songza (if people remember what that was). On this service you can’t listen to songs individually but you can create as many stations as you please. I recently rediscovered this app after forgetting about it a few years ago.
Well my final recommendation is for 8tracks which is available in the US and Canada only. This service is actually really cool and unlike others. On this all of the playlists are made by people and you can even make your own and whats neat is you actually upload the songs. Once you upload songs you have previously purchased elsewhere it gets added to your mix which then can be shared with your friends and the playlists almost act like mini radio stations so the artists do get paid from the tracks you upload which makes everyone happy.
I hope you enjoyed learning about these legal music streaming sites and hopefully you sign up and test a few of them and maybe even share them with your friends. If you are interested check out my 8tracks playlist below!
It’s July which means Ottawa Bluesfest is BACK! I have actually gone to the festival the past two years and last year was the first time that I actually got a full festival pass but this year I just ended up getting a one day pass because most of the people I wanted to hear sing where on the same day. This year they also had a ferris wheel which my sister and I where on for about 20 minutes because there was nobody in line so we just kept going round and round and when we where getting off my sister was walking and the people in the cart in front of us started rocking and the ferris wheel cart banged her right in the head (she was fine). But anyways last night I got to see High Valley which is a Canadian country duo band and I also got to see P!nk and both the concerts where so great! The only bad thing is it started pouring rain during the P!nk concert but she kept going which was so awesome!! If you guys have never gone to Bluesfest I suggest you get tickets to next years shows because its a really great festival. Check out a video I took at the concert last night below!
Well another 10 months of school has gone by and I have completed grade eleven and that means just one more year of sitting in a boring classroom listening to people talk and take notes. Overall this year was pretty good and I actually found that it went by pretty quickly but I tend to say that every year of high school. And I don’t know if its just me but I find high school goes by so much quicker then when everyone was in elementary school. Anyways this past semester I had course that were a bit harder like accounting and math but I also had some that I really liked like computer business and also media studies. I completed my last exam yesterday which was nice and my summer vacation has officially started (I just wish it was longer then two months) but I hope all the other students like me have a great summer! Talk soon!!
I just went to the theater today to go see Wonder Woman and it was such a great movie! I really like all the DC movies but this is probably my favorite so far. It tells the back story of how she actually became “Wonder Woman” and it was really neat to see. Now I’m really excited to go see Justice League this November!
Oh and sorry this is a short review and that I haven’t posted in a while I’m just really busy with exams!
